A new video published on YouTube claims Google is manipulating search results to protect Hillary Clinton from any negative press. The Google search results clearly favor Hillary Clinton says SourceFed, who produced the video.
The video contrasts several searches performed on Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
For example, when a person types “Hillary Clinton crim” into the search bar, instead of suggesting a search like “Hillary Clinton crimes,” SourceFed found that Google returned top subjects like “Hillary Clinton crime reform” and “Hillary Clinton crime bill 1994.”
But, when you type into the search bars on Bing and Yahoo “Hillary Clinton crim,” you get suggestions like “Hillary Clinton criminal” and “Hillary Clinton criminal investigation” which are far more popular searches, even on Google’s top trending subjects.
In addition, despite public speculation that Clinton may be indicted over her handling of State Department emails, “Hillary Clinton indi” produces search results like “Hillary Clinton india” and “Hillary Clinton indiana” instead of “Hillary Clinton indictment,” even though the latter is a far more popular search term. Once again, Bing is completely different. In a Bing search, indictment-related searches dominate the suggestion box.
Which begs the question, is Google manipulating search results in favor of Hillary Clinton?
