The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting an information session on Fraud Awareness and Prevention. The increase in fraud related crimes around the country presents an opportunity to educate our citizens in fraud prevention and awareness of common scams. Click here to sign up.
At the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, detectives are vigilant in combating these crimes and go to great efforts to provide training and assistance to the community in order prevent citizens from becoming victims. Sheriff Al Nienhuis and the men and women of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office want to invite you to attend this free session with HCSO Economic Crimes detectives for the opportunity to protect yourselves against these crimes and to participate in a question and answer session.
Detectives from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office will share information from the United States Secret Service and Internal Revenue Service along with helpful resources that you can share with your families, businesses, or civic groups. At the end of the session, attendees will be provided with pertinent information so they may distribute the information to others in the workplace.
